Meeting the Defense Advisor: Chief Parag Jain held a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s Defense Advisor, Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. A.K.M. Shamsul Islam.
Revisiting Security Ties: The core objective of the discussions was to revitalize stalled security cooperation, exchange mutual perspectives on regional stability, and mend institutional relations between the two neighbors.
Continuation of Dialogue: This visit follows a prior high-level contact in March 2026, when Bangladesh’s DGFI Chief, Major General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury, met with India’s Military Intelligence Chief, Lieutenant General R.S. Raman. Jain’s trip serves as a direct follow-up to sustain that security dialogue.
