Maulvibazar Correspondent : “Tensions are running high in Habiganj tonight as top leaders of the National Citizen Party push past a police roadblock in Moulvibazar. Convener Nahid Islam and fellow leaders were held up for nearly thirty minutes by law enforcement before resuming their journey.

Our Moulvibazar and Sreemangal Correspondence said that NCP leaders have resumed their journey to Habiganj after a brief police blockade in Sreemangal’s Moulvibazar was lifted.
Amid heightened political tension, the leaders left the Moulvibazar Circuit House shortly after 4pm on Wednesday. Police stopped their convoy at Sreemangal’s Tea Maiden.
After being held there for nearly half an hour, the vehicles continued towards Habiganj at around 5:05pm. Witnesses said no untoward incidents occurred during the standoff.
