Staff Reporter : Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has taken extensive preparations to conduct this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations smoothly and in an environment free from cheating. Eight pre-inspection teams of board officials will inspect various centers of the examination begins across the country on April 21,

said an office order of the Professor S M Kamal Uddin Haider, Controller of Examinations of the board.According to the board decision, one inspection team will examine centers in the Ramna, Lalbagh, Motijheel, Mirpur, Gulshan, Uttara,Tejgaon, and Wari zones within Dhaka metropolis.

CCTV Surveillance: The government has made CCTV cameras mandatory in all public examination centers to ensure transparency and curb malpractice.

Zero-Tolerance Policy: A strict policy against cheating is being enforced, with instructions for surprise “helicopter missions” by the Education Minister to inspect venues at a moment’s notice.

Centre Reductions: To simplify oversight and reduce local influence, the board has cancelled 17 exam centers and 221 venues for the 2026 session.

Other teams will inspect centers in Dhaka district as well as in Manikganj, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Faridpur, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Gopalganj, Kishoreganj, and Tangail districts. Instructions have been given to inspect at least 10 examination centers from each district.

The board sources said that the teams will begin inspections from tomorrow (March 29) and will complete their activities by April 13. During the inspections, the team members will exchange views with local administrations, acting officers, center secretaries, and prominent individuals of the area.
